Steps to filling Online Application Form:

Step I: Registration Page: -

A candidate can apply for the NEET (UG) - 2021 only online by logging on to www.ntaneet.nic.in.

Following point should be clear while filling the form-

a) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name as given in the Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University Certificate in capital letters only.

b) Date of Birth of candidate in dd/mm/yyyy format as recorded in Secondary School Examination or equivalent Board/ University certificate.

c) Identification Type: Candidates need to provide any one of the following identity details given below:

Category of Candidates

Documents the are permissible as IDs

 Indian Nationals of all States

 Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits), Class XII Roll number issued by the Board, Election Card (EPIC No.), Ration Card, Bank Account Passbook with Photograph, Passport Number or Number of any other Photo Identity Card issued by Government.

 NRIs

 Passport Number/Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)

 Foreign Nationals/ OCI/PIO

 Passport Number/ Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)

e) Mobile Number and e-mail Address: It is highly recommended that Candidates must provide own or parents Mobile Number and e-mail address only.

f) Address of Candidate: It should note that, provide complete postal address with PIN Code (Correspondence and permanent address) for further correspondence. PIN code of Correspondence as well as permanent address should be given in the space provided for this purpose.

 

Step II: Fill in the complete Application Form: -

After completion of registration candidate have to fill full application form

1. Change in Details: The details entered in Step-I of application can be edited before final submission of the Application Form except Mobile No. and e-mail address, which may not be changed after Step-I.

2. Category: Under Category option General, General-EWS, SC, ST & OBC-NCL are available in the drop-down list.

Note:

a) No Caste Certificate is to be uploaded in the Online application Form of NEET (UG) – 2021, Caste and Community will be verified at the Counselling by concerned Central/State Counselling Authority.

b) Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL)- NonCreamy Layer as per the Central List of OBC available on the website www.ncbc.nic.in. Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC-NCL in the Category Column. State list OBC-NCL Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must choose General.

c) Economically Weaker Section (EWS) - Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) for admission in Central Educational Institutions, is provided as per law.

3. Nationality: In NEET (UG) 2021, Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO) & Foreign Nationals are eligible.

4. State/UT Code: The Candidates have to submit their State/UT Code as per given list in information brochure, during the Online Registration for NEET (UG) – 2021.

5. PwD Status: Candidate have to show the PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category.

6. Choice of Examination Center: The candidate should select any four cities of their choice for examination of NEET (UG) - 2021 given in list city / center. Allotment of Centre is made by computer and there is no human intervention.

7. Medium of Question Paper: The medium of the question paper is depending upon following pointes,

- Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only.

- Candidates opting for Hindi/Regional Language would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi/Regional Language and in English. In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.

8. Academic Details (X, XI & XII): Candidate has to fill the complete academic details of X, XI & XII or Qualifying Examination. Candidates those passed should fill Code [02 to 07] in the column provided for Qualifying Examination. If a candidate does not match within the qualifications critaria prescribed as per Code numbers 02 to 07, then the candidate needs to furnish complete details under the column “Others”.

Candidates appearing in Class XII in 2021 should select qualifying code as 01.

9. Single Girl Child: Single Girl Child in the family without brother or sister may select this option. Although Twin Daughter/Fraternal Daughter of the family may also select this option.

10. Minority: If applicable, the candidate should select any one of the Minority Community viz. Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi which is notified under minority. The Self Declaration of Minority Community by Candidate for support for Minority Students format is given in brochure.

11. Details of Father/ Guardian /Mother: Under this column, Code of occupation, Income and qualification Details of Father/ Guardian /Mother will be filled.

Note:

  •  Only one application should be submitted by a candidate for NEET-2021.
  •  Once finally submitted, particulars in certain specific fields may be changed only during correction window. After that no communication in this regard would be entertained by NTA.
  • Only after Successful submission of fee, registration will be treated as completed.
  • Candidates are not need to send/ submit hard copy of Confirmation page to NTA office. Though, the candidates are advised to retain the hard copy of the Confirmation Page, and a proof of fee submitted for future need.

 

Note: Candidates must note that only deduction of fee from the bank account is not a proof of fee payment to NTA. The payment should be supported by updated fee and generation of Confirmation page is the only proof of successful submission of Application Form.

 

Step III: Uploading of Scanned Documents:

Note:

 • The photographs must be taken on or after 01.09.2020 and preferably indicating visible name of candidate along with the date of taking the photograph.

• Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. The focus needs to be on face (80% face coverage, ears clearly visible, on white background)

• Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.

• Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.

• Applications that are not fulfilling these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejection of form.

• Application without photographs shall be rejected.

• The photographs need not be attested. Candidates are recommended to keep 6 to 8 passport size and 4 to 6 Post Card size (4”X6”) colour photographs with white background.

• Same Passport size and Post Card size photographs must to be used for uploading with Online Application Form and for that are used for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination Centre/Counselling/Admission.

Candidate’s Signature:

• The candidate should put his/her full signature in running hand writing (not in capital letter) on white paper with Black Ink pen and scan clearly for uploading.

File size must be between 4 kb to 30 kb, in JPG / JPEG Format.

• The unsigned Online Application Forms will be rejected and not concerned for further communication.

• In case someone else’s signature has been uploaded, the candidature shall be cancelled and this case will be considered as using UFM. Criminal action as per laws of the country shall also be initiated on such candidates.

Candidate’s Left-hand thumb Impression:

• The candidate must put his/her left-hand thumb Impression on white paper with Blue Ink and scan for uploading. In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used.

• File size of that must be between 10 kb to 50 kb, in JPG / JPEG Format.

• It should be noted, unclear Left-hand thumb Impression in Online Application Forms will also be rejected.

Candidate’s Class -X Passing Certificate:

• The candidate should scan his/her Class X Passing Certificate for uploading on Online Application form.

• File size must be between 100 kb to 400 kb, in JPG / JPEG Format.

 

Step IV: Payment of Fee and Status of receipt of Online Application Form with Fee details:

After successfully completing Step III of online Application Form, candidates may remit the examination fee through the following options:

• Select Debit/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI as the Mode of Payment and Service Provider’s details (Service/Processing charges per transaction & GST (applicable @18%) to be paid by the candidate); and complete the steps as instructed for successful submission of fee.

Print the Confirmation Page after completion of Step-IV i.e. payment through Debit/Credit card/ Net-banking/UPI through State Bank of India/Syndicate Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm as service provider.

• If candidate fails to complete all the steps upto step IV, the final submission of Online Application will be treated as incomplete and unsuccessful.

If Confirmation Page has not been generated, this means that Application Form has not been submitted successfully.

Note: In case, the fee payment status is not ‘OK’ the candidates are advised as following:

If the fee is paid through credit/debit card and status is not shows OK, it means the transaction is cancelled. Therefore, such candidates have to pay the fee once again and ensure the OK fee status. For all cancelled transactions, the amount will, automatically, be refunded to concerned credit/debit card after the last date of online submission of Application Form or the process of Fee Settlement.
