NIMCET

1. NIMCET:

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutes of National Importance and are Centrally Funded Technical Institutes. The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET), is a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission to their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme. Candidates have to qualify NIMCET 2021 and on the basis of their rank, admission will be provided at various campuses of NIT situated in Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) and Warangal.

 

Educational Qualifications:

Qualifying Exam: Candidate must possess B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.

Qualifying Marks: He/she must have obtained minimum aggregate of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales in the qualifying exam. 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scales for SC/ST candidates.

Qualifying Subjects: Candidate must have passed the qualifying exam with one of the subjects of Mathematics or Statistics.

JNU MCA

2. JNU MCA:

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) offers admission to Master in Computer Applications (MCA) through JNU MCA entrance exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the entrance examination on behalf of Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE).

The JNU MCA 2020 exam date is announced, which will be held on a day between May 11 and 14 for JNU MCA 2020. Registrations will begin on March 2 in online mode and JNU MCA application last date is March 31, 2020. After this, NTA will release the admit cards in online mode on April 21, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria JNU MCA:

• The age of the applicants must be above 17 years.

• Candidates must have completed their 3yrs of bachelor’s (10+2+3 pattern) level education from recognized institution/university.

• Applicants have to attain a minimum of 55% marks in the graduate degree.

• Candidates have to complete their graduate-level education with “Mathematics” as one of the mandatory subjects.

DU MCA

3. DU MCA:

Delhi University (DU) Department of Computer Science invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) DU Entrance Test for the Three - Year Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting body for Delhi University Master of Computer Applications (DU MCA) entrance examination. The authorities have announced official exam schedule for DU MCA 2020, DU MCA exam 2020 shall be conducted on some day between June 2 and June 9, 2020. This will be followed by interview and group discussions (G.D.) which will be followed by counselling sessions.

Then, cut off lists will be released based on both marks obtained in the DU MCA exam along with performance in the interview and G.D. session. DU MCA is an online multiple-choice based exam which will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours.

Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have completed their Bachelors (with at least one paper in Mathematical Sciences under annual mode/ at least two papers in Mathematical Sciences in semester mode) from DU or any other university whose examination is recognized as equivalent to that of DU.

Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks overall (or equivalent CGPA). Relaxation to special categories is provided.

BHU PET

4. BHU PET:

Banaras Hindu University Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU PET) is a university-level exam, which is conducted for candidates those wants to take admission in post-graduation courses offered by colleges of Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

The several courses offered by colleges of BHU, include “MCA”, MBA, L.L.M., M.Tech, M.Com, M.A., M.Ed, M.Sc., M.Voc., etc. Engineering, Mass Communication, Science, Management, Fine Arts, Commerce, Performing Arts, Humanities, Hospitality, Teaching and Travel are some of the streams that candidates are offered after clear BHU PET 2020.

BHU PET exam will be conducted by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) generally in the month of May, 2020.

 

Qualifying Examination: Candidates should have done graduation (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline with mathematics as a compulsory subject either at 10+2 level or at bachelor’s level.

Percentage required: Candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

BIT MCA

5. BIT MCA:

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra conducts an annual entrance exam BIT MCA, for admission to its 3 years MCA (Masters of Computer Applications) program. BIT MCA will be conducted in the first week of June in online mode.

BIT MCA Registration will begin from the first week of March. BIT MCA result will be declared in the third week of June 2020. 

BIT MCA Exam will grant candidates admission to BIT Mesra (Main Campus), BIT Noida, BIT Ranchi, BIT Jaipur.

Eligibility Criteria:

1) The candidates must have passed in Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as one of the subjects in Class 12 (10+2) / Equivalent Examination.

2) Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

3) Candidates must have one of following qualifications:

a) Bachelor of Computer Applications, or

b) B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or

c) B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

4) Candidates with above mentioned qualifications (item-3) must have secure minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in aggregate in graduation, marks to be calculated as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared.

5) Candidates with B.Sc. Honours must have minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/ PwD) marks in average in their Honours subject.

Pune University MCA

6. Pune University MCA:

Aspirant to seeking admissions to MCA course at Department of Computer Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune have to know admission process before taking any decision. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Computer Science Department (CSD) will not conduct the entrance test for Pune University Master in Computer Applications (MCA). The MAH-MCA-CET exam will conduct it for Pune University.

MAH-MCA-CET 2020 shall be conducted only in the ONLINE mode in multiple sessions if required. Candidates shall appear for the CET strictly as per the date and session allotted to them at allotted center. No candidate shall be allowed to appear for test in other than the allotted session.

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing to Online MAH-MCA-CET 2020:

The candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

(i) Passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only);

(ii) Studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at (10+2) level or at Graduate level examination;

(iii) For Direct second year admissions, the candidate should have passed Bachelor Degree in Computer Applications or Science (Information Technology or Computer Science); (Candidates appearing for final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to appear for CET)

WBJECA

7. WBJECA:

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination for admissions in Master of Computer Applications (JECA), is. Through WBJECA you can get admissions to MCA courses offered by colleges in the state of West Bengal. This year, WBJECA 2020 will be conducted on 27 June 2020.

Qualifying Examination: The aspirant must have a Bachelor’s (UGC/AICTE recognized) degree of minimum 3 years duration except BBA with Mathematics at graduate or 10+2 level.

Percentage required: Minimum qualifying marks for general category is 50% and 45% for reserved category candidates.
