FAQs – NTSE 2020:

 

Q: How can I apply for NTSE 2020?

A. To apply for NTSE Scholarship Exam, students have to download the print copy of the application form from the SCERT website and submit the form to the school officials or they can also send the filled application to the address of state’s liaison officer.

 

Q. I am reappearing for my 10th class exams this year. Am I eligible for NTSE?

A. No, anyone can apply for NTSE only once during the first attempt in class 10th.

 

Q. Can I apply for NTSE 2020 in 9th class?

A. No, only students studying in 10th class are eligible to write the NTSE.

 

Q. Will I qualify for the NTSE stage-II, if I will be able to score the minimum qualifying marks in MAT and SAT?

A. It is mandatory to achieve the total NTSE cutoff score released by your state at the time of the declaration of result. If you achieve to score the cutoff marks of NTSE stage-I, then you would find your name in the merit list. The qualifying cutoff of 40 per cent (32 per cent for SC/ST) and the ones released by states is different.

 

Q. Do I need to apply for NTSE 2020 stage II also?

A. No, the NTSE application is a one-time process. You need to apply only for stage-I. Only if you qualify stage-I exam will you be able to appear for NTSE stage-II.

 

Q. When will NTSE stage-II result be announced?

A. NTSE stage-II result 2020 will be announced in the month of August.
