Q-1: Is there any change in the exam pattern for CLAT 2020?

A: Yes, this year CLAT 2020 will include less number of questions than earlier, now 150 question is there instead of 200 earlier. Also, comprehension-based questions will now be asked from Quantitative Techniques, English, Current Affairs, Deductive Reasoning and Logical Reasoning.

Q-2: Will CLAT conduction body email the CLAT admit card to the candidate?

A: The admit card will be available only through candidate log-in accounts, and will not be sent by email or any other means.

Q-3: what is the upper age limit for appearing in CLAT 2020 for admission to UG or PG law courses?

A: There is no upper age limit.

Q-4: When will the application form of CLAT 2020 open?

A: CLAT 2020 applications will open from January 1 onward. Applications will be available in online mode only.

Q-5: What is the exam date of CLAT 2020?

A: The pen-and-paper (offline) based exam will be conducted on 10 May 2020.

Q-6: Who will conduct CLAT 2020 exam?

A: National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi will conduct CLAT 2020 exam.

Q-7: Will admission to all law courses in the country be based on CLAT scores only?

A: No, only participating NLUs and some private colleges use CLAT scores for admission. Meanwhile many others institutes conduct their own test for admission purpose.

Q-8: Is there negative marking in CLAT 2020?

A: The pen-and-paper based CLAT 2020 will have negative marking for multiple choice questions (MCQ). For each incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
