About CLAT-2020:

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the most important entrance examination for all Law aspirants. This national level entrance exam is conducted each year for admission to undergraduate and post-graduate Law courses. CLAT 2020 exam notification has been released.

Currently, there are 22 National Law Universities (NLU) in India. Each of them considers CLAT scores for admissions to their UG and PG programs.

As per the official notification, the CLAT 2020 exam will be held on – 10th of May, 2020. NUSRL, Ranchi will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020, the exam will be pen-and-paper based and of two hours duration. CLAT is conducted for admission to 5-year integrated law and LLM courses. The NLUs have a combined intake of around 2622 undergraduate and 720 postgraduate seats.

Aspirants have to know about the major changes to the CLAT exam pattern, including reduction in the number of questions for the UG test, which will now have 150 objective type questions instead of 200. Also, comprehension-based questions will be asked in both UG and PG exams. CLAT 2020 introduced cutoff marks for the PG objective paper. CLAT 2020 application form has started on January 1; last date for filling the online application form is March 31.
