Advantages as a Navy Officer:
Privileges: In addition to CTC, Navy provides entitled Medical Facilities, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Rail concession and Canteen Facilities for Self & Dependants, Mess/Club/Sports Facilities, Furnished Govt. Accommodation & Car/Housing Loan at subsidised rate.
Group Insurance & Gratuity: Insurance cover (on contribution) of Rs. 1 crore for all branches is applicable. Gratuity will be granted to the officers as per the latest rules in force.
Leave Entitlements: On Commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual leave and 20 days casual leave every year (subject to service exigencies). Leave during training period will be as per the extant training policy in force. They are also entitled for 40% rail concession to any place & free travel (as per extant rules) for self & dependents.
Adventure & Sports: The Navy provides facilities for various sports. In addition, one can also learn and participate in adventure sports, such as river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, wind surfing etc.
