Q. What is the minimum academic eligibility criteria for writing CAT 2020?

A. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute is compulsory and mandatory for taking the CAT 2020 exam, with the minimum percentage requirement of 50% in the qualifying examination for Unreserved category.

Q. Are students in the final year of examination eligible to apply for the CAT?

A. Yes, students can apply but their admission on the basis of their CAT result will be provisional until they produce their final year graduation marksheet with required percentage.

Q. I have completed my Bachelor’s degree, but have a backlog. Can I apply for CAT 2020?

A. Yes, you are eligible to apply for CAT provided your aggregate is 50%.

Q. I have not completed Graduation but I am pursuing CA. Am I eligible to ap-ply for CAT 2020?

A. No, you are not eligible to apply for CAT. In case of absence of Graduation degree, you will be required to complete your professional degree to be able to apply.

Q. Is there any age restriction for taking the CAT 2020?

A. No, there is no age restriction to take CAT 2020.

Q. Do the non-MCQ type questions carry equal marks as MCQs?

A. Yes, all questions carry equal marks. However, for non-MCQ type questions, you must type the answer on the computer screen in the given space.
